A Bit of History
As part of the Quogue Purchase, the area of Westhampton Beach was first settled in 1666. It was a sleepy beach community that experienced its first real estate boom in 1675. At this time, residents of Westhampton Beach (then known as Ketchaboneck) began providing lodging for travelers who came to the area.
